On our last full day in Texas Claire and I (and Brian) were driving each other a little crazy in the confined space of our hotel room while Ben napped, so I got on the internet and found a park nearby that had a playground, and off Claire and I went (after a stop at the drive-thru Starbucks - how I wish there was one of these near my house!) It was just the break (and exercise) that we needed.
Tracy has moved Best Shot Monday over to Mother May I, so check in to see some other enjoyable shots.

Hope you had a nice visit in my home state of Texas. We have drive thru Starbucks EVERYWHERE. I'm not complaining.
Great playground shot. That red really pops.
The shadows are so cool in this shot!
She sure looks like she is having a great time!
looks like fun! Love the bright color of the merry-go-round.
Sweet picture! And smart of you to take along your camera on a playdate! (er...trip to the park during a naptime!)
looks like so much fun. be glad there isn't a drive-thru starbucks near you -- it just seems so *easy* that way...you forget how much it costs!
what a cute shot! that's one nice thing about Texas - you can play outside almost all winter long!
It sure looks like you had a good time.
Hi Emily,
It looks warm there! We are experiencing freezing temps here in Nebraska.
I would like to introduce myself. I am a new WAHM and am excited to begin networking with moms and grandmothers who are juggling the many roles they have in life just as I am. I had a 15 year career as an accountant for a publicly traded company and I missed out on so many of the precious moments in the lives of my boys. In August of ’07 I finally took the step of faith and left my full-time employment so that I could have the time, energy, and flexibility to focus on the needs of my tween (age 12) and 1st grader (age 6).
I have built a website which focuses on the essentials of family living, hence the name ~ www.essentialfamilyliving.com. One of my favorite topics of discussion is Family Fun Night and I have dedicated much of my blog space to this subject.
I would love for you to view my site and blog then comment with any suggestions, advice, or encouragement. Thank you for the consideration.
Blessing on your day!
very sweet shot :) Loads of fuN!
