Saturday we had a picnic at a local park and I took some pictures of one of the cherry trees. We were unwilling to brave the traffic and crowds in DC this weekend, so we did this instead. This is my favorite of the photos I took.

Oh, lovely! I don't think we have cherry trees here, but I've loved the "idea" of them ever since Anne of Green Gables.
Oh what a lovely photo- we are in the midst of a HUGE annual Cherry Blossom festival here in my town...the trees are just like spun cotton candy- so pink and delicate!
